PSP Games - The Good News!

The recent launch of the
Sony PSP, or Play Station Portable, brought a flurry of excitement to the
game playing fraternity. The PSP is, of course a hand held multi media
device, but PSP Games
are one of
its major selling points. Infact, the controls of the console are designed with PSP
games in mind, and follow the traditions of the ordinary Play
Station. This differentiates it from MP3 players. It's no surprise that the PSP was
launched in Japan, where the young generation is always eager for the newest gadget to
play games.
Users of Play Station will be familiar with the PSP's trigger buttons and start and select buttons. There is a digital operated 8-directional pad and the input is analog. On the back of the screen are further buttons, which control the volume, screen brightness and access to the main menu. Importantly for the PSP games enthusiasts are the controls, which switch the audio on and off whilst playing a game. You can also choose from different equalizers that are preset in the OS. The analog input, sometimes referred to as the analog nub does not follow a traditional stick design, but those gamers familiar with the more up to date thumb stick, will appreciate its flat, sliding panel.
The best selling games, as you'd expect, are available as PSP games. There's games for every taste; sport, driving, shoot 'em up, and arcade games. Even a Sudoku, game has been formatted for PSP.
There is an online community for PSP Games users, which has already sprung up, with forums offering hints and tips on playing the games. Gamers help each other out with technical questions and answers, and there are also sections for those helpful games cheats we sometimes resort to!
